Deal check: 2024 bmw ix

To Leasehackers/Brokers/Dealers:

Looking to replace current SUV as racked up some miles on it. Is this a good deal? Can I do better on the discount before MSRP? What should I shoot for in % discount?

Considering between 2024 BMW IX or 2024 BMW X5 50e.

Any other incentives I can try or i am missing out that I can stack on these?
I live in New Jersey.

Appreciate your advise.

I will give you the crash course. BMW IX is one of the best lease deals on the market right now, BMW X5 is one of the worst. I wouldn’t touch an X5, at all, but if you wanted one I would purchase it. As for your IX deal, it’s pretty terrible. You are looking for a discount closer to 12% and buy rate money factor. It will be VERY hard to find the best deal at a NJ dealer, you should be prepared to look out of state. You can start in our Marketplace forum.

Where are you finding 12% off with buyrate?

Best I have seen brokers offer is 11% off MSRP with buy rate MF.

Looks pretty bad. Could be wrong but they are giving you only 3.5% off and MF markup. Get a broker like @Bacons_C.C he’ll help you out.

That’s gone too. The secret is out with these, and with the backup at the port, dealerships didn’t get allocations, so stock is getting pretty low.

I’m in the market for one and it looks like in Socal at least one of the brokers is doing $750 /mo on $750 DAS for a 85k ix 50. Use that as your measuring stick. Also, I noticed on BMW’s inventory tracker there are 90 cars on the ground in Socal with 471 on the way for delivery. That means the bulk of the 2024 inventory hasn’t even arrived so deals are going to even be better in January/February for these.

They start at $88,000, FYI. Also keep in mind that a lot of what’s in the tracker is already sold, too.

We had a nice little fleet of these base base base ‘23 iX’s with the $85,095 sticker we blew out earlier this year.

There are zero of those left per the locator but I’m sure there’s a handful of them in loaner service somewhere if one can find one.

There’s only 3 2023 50e left in the country not designated as demo or loaner and two are in California.

Yes it was a loaner/demo one that I saw. Nevertheless I stand by what I said more are coming and BMW will need to sell them.

@JessieM, did you close the deal on your iX? What was your final price?
I’m also in NJ, looking for an iX

I swear I read the loaners qualified for a (reduced) incentive. Do you know if that’s accurate for the 23s?

Spent four hours at an AutoNation dealer today (CA) on an iX X50 36/10, with the 9900 credit and the dealer kicking in $7000, $0 drive-off but they didn’t budge more than 10 basis points off the MF. They gave me .00151 which is way high. Said they’re selling them to peeps sight unseen. They told me with the supply and the recall last month the MF was 90 basis points better. But, I still think that MF is being way inflated by the dealer.

@ZZAutoDeals should be able to help.

Negotiate via phone and email to avoid wasting time.

Unfortunately, The dude is destined to be in a rickshaw for life.

You think they would the needle at all on a phone call or email thread when people are taking their inventory sight unseen? I can’t believe I’d get a genuine offer over the phone ever when they know I could easily run to another dealer with what they give me on a call or email thread and have it competed against.

It’s not that bad, the rickshaw was purchased in 2021 and has equity.

lol I want to see a MMR on a rickshaw.

@z0lt3c , do these qualify for the $7,500 incentive?

The heck with Mannheim, I got it from a guy named Newman. Works at USPS, said it was slightly damaged— I guess his friend let go of it one time and it went flying downhill. At least that’s what he said.
