Deal Check - 2024 BMW iX 50 Chicagoland

,

Talking to a local dealer on my first ever lease on a unit they could source locally.

MSRP $99125
Selling price $90125 (9%off)
36/12
$9900 incentive
$1072 a month after taxes (Cook County IL) with $2000 DAS (tax and 1st month)

I feel there should be more room in the sale price.
I haven’t talked to any brokers, but I don’t see any in Chicagoland or Midwest almost at all.
I could also try to find this unit myself and talk to that dealer directly.
Any tips or advise are greatly appreciated.

Seems a bit expensive. Have you reached out brokers delivering in your region?

Are you inside the actual city of Chicago, or in the suburbs?

Suburbs, but still Cook County. 60193

You should take that deal if it’s local.

Looks like 9% off with no MF markup.

We work with a dealer in the Chicago metro area and realistically our broker deal is the same.

Are MSDs on these worth it at all?
$7K in MSDs lowers the payment $60, so about 10% return on your money, vs 5% in some HYSA. Not sure it’s worth the trouble.

Are you comparing apples to apples if the latter return is taxable? What is it net of taxes?

There’s nothing compelling about an iX above $1,000… unless you are in a rush you should try again starting in the last ten days of March

Thank you.

Good point on the taxes.
And yes, this feels too rushed, as we didn’t even see all the color options and features in person yet. We’ll wait till end of March.

If it’s base money factor 9% may be all you can get.

I did the $7000 max MSD’s and thought it was worth it.

The best my dealer could offer for the iX is below… Seems way off, no?

Way off. I got 10.25% off and signed/drove off last night, but it was the end of the month.

Keep an eye on the Marketplace

Historically the last week of the month is better than the first.
