Deal Check: 2024 BMW I4 SO CAL

Hello, New to the leasehackr website. Looking to get input on a lease deal in San Diego.

36 months, 12k miles, $0 “down”. Tried to use the calculator, but I don’t know the MF (have asked for it and have tried to calculate it with other info, but have been unsuccessful). Here are the details. I have only negotiated via email at this point.

Sales Price - $56,455
Discount - $5,445
Fees - $925
Gross Cap Cost - $51,925
Cap Cost Reduction ($7,500 rebate, DAS $2,950, inception fees - $2,043.25)
Net Cap Cost $43,518.26

DAS $2,950
Residual - $29.915.85 (53%)

Total payment - $581.20 (including tax)

Thanks!

Google Edmunds lease forum for 2024 BMW i4 and you can get RV/MF there…then try calc again…learning how to use it will save you thousands or just hire a broker because you will leave thousands on the table. Post your calc link.

Thanks for that intel. I’ve asked the question on the site, but looks like it should be .00180 based on another response. so i used that in the calculator for now. I put the 7,500 rebate as an untaxed incentive, not sure if that is the right location.

You should be able to negotiate a bit more of a discount on the selling price. I would also see what @ZZAutoDeals can do for you if you want to go the broker route and get something done quickly.

Thanks. Have not explored the broker route and frankly didn’t know that was a service in car buying/leasing.

This is an autonation dealership. I know they claim no hassle, not sure how much room there is in the sale price. Maybe going to a non-autonation dealer would help.

It is taxable in CA.

PS, your calc DAS is off because you are missing some fees…that 925 is likely acq fee which is being capped…the DAS of 2950 appears to include 907 for cap reduction/‘down’ too.

ok. that reduced the score slightly to 7.8. Looks like the places to push would be discounts (maybe) and consider MSD’s (that concept is new to me). 7.8 as a score seems average, is that accurate?

I don’t put much weight in the score…you need to see what the best deals here have for a discount off selling price, use base MF and apply all incentives you qualify for…do you have BMW loyalty?

There are lots of broker i4 deals/strings on this site to look at in Marketplace to compare.

MSDs are a generally a good idea with a nice ROI as they reduce your MF.

no loyalty. i’ll take a look at that string.

Almost guarantee that the MF is marked up. I’ve also found both Encinitas (now Carlsbad) and Vista sales managers to be snakes.

BMW of San Diego automatically adds ceramic to all of their new cars… I was there with a friend for a test drive recently, and we walked away when they dropped that news and acted like it was some kind of a favor.

I guess that leaves… El Cajon?

I made a reasonable offer on that leftover 22 over a year ago, and they still have it.

(Maybe there is hope in Escondido… haven’t tried anything there.)

My friend ended up using @ZZAutoDeals, got great deal, and was really happy.

Take a look at the Marketplace to see what brokers are offering on a similar-MSRP i4. It’ll give you a good baseline for putting together your own deal and making an offer (or in deciding whether you wish to use a broker instead).

Interesting commentary. Thanks for the note on @ZZAutoDeals . I sent him an email to discuss.
