Deal check: 2024 BMW i4 e35 in TX

,

I’ve been negotiating a lease on a specific 2024 i4 via email for the last several days. I got this from the dealer today and I’d love insight into where I should push to get the best deal. I’m open to putting down up to the max 7 MSDs, but I have no desire to put cash down. Looking for drive-off to be taxes, fees, and MSDs only. Also, what other options would be in that “cash type” dropdown?

Lender tax credit deals in Texas cannot do MSD’s per BMWFS.

That being said, hit us up. We may be able to beat that deal.

This particular dealership - granted, out of MI not TX - says MSDs are available. What gives?

Out-of-state dealers cannot use lender tax credits for Texas buyers.

Believe me, we’ve tried to make it happen. :eyes:

Dollars to donuts that dealer just has the tax mucked up for now and the surprise comes when they try to make it fund and tack the difference on to the front end when they’re told it’s 6.25% on SP less incentives or jump in a lake.

Oops - neglected to link the dealership in question. This is NOT who I’m dealing with, though; I just found this site when doing my research. My dealer is local to where I am in TX, although they did just bring in the car I wanted from another dealer (also in TX).

Am I hearing you correctly that BMWFS does MSDs in some states and not others? Por que?

In some states, it is not legal.

But in the situation we’re looking at, It’s specifically noted in the latest bulletin concerning Texas lender tax credits for BMW BEV’s that MSD’s are disallowed on these deals.

Thanks for the insight. That stinks. Are you able to negotiate on this specific car that I’ve been working with them on? Happy to fill out your form but I don’t see a space to indicate if I’ve already identified the car. I’m also leaving town on Tuesday (out of the country) & trying to get this all done before then - what’s the turnaround time?

Depends where it’s at and if there’s a lead conflict to be concerned about with our partner dealers. Based on the dealer add/fees and the fact they’re using elead it doesn’t appear to be anyone we work with regularly.

Who knows, maybe we have something just like it though or nicer but at a better price? :slightly_smiling_face:
