I found a car on chevrolet.com for $286/month 15k 24m months 0 down. It’s a courtesy vehicle with 441 miles. When I went to the dealership the offered the car to me for $353/month saying all taxes fees included with 500 down.
2 incentives included for leasing a non GM vehicle and being a Costco business member.
Vehicle sticker says the following options: Comfort and convenience package $2295
Convenience and driver confidence package: $1225
LT Launch edition credit: -$3250
Sunroof, power, dual panel: $1500
Then the sticker says Total Options $1500
Total Vehicle & Options $50,300
Destination Charge $1395
Is this a good deal?
Am I getting charged too much for taxes and fees per month?
Can anyone share a signed deal I can bring to the dealer to get them to lower the price?
Does the vehicle sticker make sense?
Should I find another car?
I’m extremely new to this and appreciate any of the help I can get. Time is of the essence
There’s too much missing info to give you much of a detailed analysis.
But… advertised deals are almost always terrible, so I would assume that’s true here until you can do more research.
As you’ve already seen, the $286 offer had a bunch of costs buried in the mouse print at the bottom of the ad.
Main questions:
How much is the dealer discount from MSRP, and how does that compare to what the market’s doing on this vehicle?
For which incentives do you qualify (and how much is each one)?
We also don’t know your registration costs or sales tax rate (won’t help a lot by itself to post these, since the above info is missing, along with dealer doc fees, any add-ons they’ve stuck on the car, etc.).
This is a frequently-discussed model in the Forums, so there should be dozens and dozens (possibly hundreds) of data points for you to deconstruct.
Also note that after you’ve optimized the rest of the deal, look at a single-payment lease to drive down the finance charges you’ll incur over the lease term.
