Deal Check: 2024 Audi Q8 etron - (TX)

, ,

I have a feeling this isn’t the best I can do, but it’s my first lease ever on a car and looking for some extra help with this one (btw this community is great and appreciate all the forum posts I’ve read so far). My gut is telling me they are fibbing about .00259 is the lowest MF they can offer and it’s set by the bank so they get no input. Also the 1,599.13 for non tax fees seems excessive. Here’s the breakdown I recieved:

MSRP 84,820.00
EV Incentive 12,500.00
Add Discount 8620.00 (about 8% off MSRP)
Tinted glass 699.00
Door Edge Guards 299.00
Nitrogen 199.00
Tax 811.21
EV Reg Fee 400.00
Dealer Admin Charge 150.00
TX License Fee 118.25
Tx Title 33.00
Tx Inspection Fee 7.00
Tx Local Feed 23.00
TX DPS Fee 2.0
Temp Tag 5.00
Acquisition Fee 895.00
TX VIT Tax 106.82
P&H Fee 4.75
Balance 67,453.03

@36 months
MF .00259
Mileage 15,000 (I will probably drive this, I’m 40 miles from my workplace one way)
3709 down @ $805/month
Residual 45,803 (54%)

@24 months
MF .00259
Mileage 15,000 (I will probably drive this, I’m 40 miles from my workplace one way)
3709 down @ $831/month
Residual 51,741 (60%)

North Park?, those look like Cavender adds.

I think we could do better.

south actually. North told me they would only take a grand or two off MSRP so I walked out today. I told them when they were serious about leasing, give me a call.

Lots of bad deals in Austin for these EVs.

My first quote from south, you’ll laugh, was 9200 cash down and $1232/month. 36 month lease. This process feels so dirty.

There are lots of recent data points on this model in Marketplace and Shared Deals & Tips. How does this compare? Add-ons I highlighted are basically a reduction in the discount you’re being offered.

The bank sets a floor and a ceiling for what can be charged. Super Supporters on LH can get buy-rate info (the floor) from the LH calculator, but you can also post a request on the appropriate forum for this model on Edmunds.

This is all hot garbage.

This is just over 10% (before factoring in the garbage they’ve added).

Keep in mind lease pricing can vary wildly regardless of MSRP so for example a bmw IX or a Mercedes EV might be a better deal. Even more so in Texas where tax credits are huge.

Always check the Marketplace
