Deal Check, 2024 Audi Q5 e S line Premium Plus, 36/12, $525 monthly, DAS $6,300

, ,

Good morning all,

My first time using Leasehackr and first time leasing at all. Based in Maryland (where I need to pay tax upfront). The vehicle of interest is 2024 Audi Q5 e S line Premium Plus with warm weather package, and the dealership is in DMV area.

I’ve read through must-read posts but still a bit nervous about signing a lease contract without prior experience. I would appreciate it very much if you guys could share your thoughts on the current deal, and whether there is a room for negotiation.

36 months, 10k miles a year, $525 a month.
Residual: 0.55 (or $36,264.25)
MF: 0.00261
DAS: 6,300 (inclusive of tax and all fees according to the dealer)

*Dealer mentioned that if I purchase Audi Care for $1,318, it will revise the residual to 0.56, and monthly payment would be $552.38

*With 6,300 DAS, monthly payment (de-facto with tax/fee included) is exactly $700. It feels like a fair deal compared to other posts or NJ based brokers offer, but I really would like to pick up locally at DMV area and would rather not sign a deal online and pick up at NJ/NY or have it delivered. Thus, I am willing to pay a few extra for sticking to local dealerships.

Kindly find below for a detailed breakdown.

MSRP: 65,935
Savings: 8,593
Price: 57,342
Rebate: 10,000
Adjusted Price: 47,342

Doc Fee: 799
Tax: 3,488.46
Non-tax fees: 1,447

Net Price: 53,076

Cash down: 6,300
Balance: 46,776.46

Thank you for taking your time to review this deal, and I look forward to engaging with the community going forward.

MD taxes notwithstanding, the deal looks solid. 13% pre-incentive discount with a slightly marked up MF, which normalizes out to 11-12% at base MF. Brokers are around 12-13%, so you’re not far off, but saving a broker fee and the car is local, so certainly something to be said about that.

And the dealer is correct about AudiCare, it bumps the RV, if your payment goes from $525 to $552 then you’re essentially paying $972 over the course of 3 years to have all your regular maintenance included.

I’d go for it.

For sure. Thanks!

Just to provide more details on Audi Care, the dealer confirmed that 3 year Audi Care is $1,318 and with that the residual (.55 to .56) ups by $1,008. Thus $341 savings.

And agree on taxes notwithstanding comment - it is beyond my control and I will take it. My reasoning is to have paid taxes rolled over to next leased vehicle.

Also, broker fee and delivery fee can easily go over $1k - thus I am fine with slightly hire MF here.

Do you see any room for negotiation with the dealer by chance? Otherwise, I will take it. Thank you.

Don’t focus on the just the MF but the deal as a whole, the MF is just one piece. When you normalize everything out to base MF this deal looks like it’s about 1% less discount than what brokers are offering.

As you said with broker and any delivery fee that could be another $1k, so basically a wash.

You could try to squeeze another 1% but ultimately that’s only another $15/mo or so. If it were me, and I liked the car and it was local, I’d just move forward with it as-is.

Thank you, I really appreciate your perspective.
