Hi team,
I’m struggling a bit to analyze these two deals I’ve been presented with re: leasing a 2023 Volvo c40 or xc40 recharge ev. They are structured differently, but I was wondering if anyone can make heads-or-tails out of the two.
Deal (1)
Here’s the last curveball - for Deal (1), I would need to have the car shipped to me. That’s probably another $800.
I think both deals are good, but if the answer is to walk away from them both, I’m happy to hear that too. Would love to get back to the dealers today, if possible; thanks in advance, Hackrs!!
The best type of hacking means being flexible and rather agnostic on brands. What other EVs are you open to? Because rn there are a ton of EV deals and the Volvos fall well outside the top in the value-for-money category IMO.
That’s a fair point. I looked at Ioniq 5 but found the Volvo to be more value for the money. I also looked at Mach Es and almost closed a month or two ago, but seemed to miss a decent discount around October and am not seeing the same deals now. But please let me know if I am missing something here!
Yeah, this link is very telling to why Volvo just doesn’t seem to want to compete on price in the West. Getting discounts on Volvo was very difficult pre-pandemic, and it’s really tough right now.
I think that’s exactly right re: Volvo and west coast. And while I am very very OK with being brand agnostic, I have to put $1000 for costco and $1000 American Bar Association Volvo-specific current incentives into the calculus here. So, when I see 2024 Ioniq 5 AWDs on marketplace for $475 plus tax with $2500 DAS (more than the volvos) i am def. swaying more towards Volvo…
