First time leasing. I found lots of good info in this forum, and would appreciate thoughts/feedback on this deal:
Car: 2023 Audi RS e-tron GT Term: 12 mos / 7.5k miles MSRP: $165k Sale Price: $149k (10% off) Incentives: $37.5k Residual: 69% (w/ Audi Care) MF: .0032 (w/ One Pay)
Gets me at ~ $1,033/month ($12,400). The calclulator is showing ~$900 less; not sure what’s going on there, but posting here for reference: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR
You’re missing Audi Care in the calculator, which probably accounts for the missing ~$900. Costs look very low - no doc fee or add-ons at all? Money factor is inflated, but not crazy. About the norm on these deals from what I’ve seen.
Also, disposition fee isn’t included in your initial one-pay amount. I don’t think you’re supposed to check the “zero down” box on calculator for one-pay deal either, but will let others chime in on that to confirm because not 100%
Attaching the lease in case that helps. Again the LH Calc and the dealer’s numbers are about $900 off (not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things), but would be good to know what’s going on here.
A little confused. Your post says GA but from your contract it looks like you have a CA doc fee but without CA registration/title fees. Also shows 7% tax (correct for GA) but paid monthly? CA dealer? registering in GA? Can you tell us a little more about the deal?
Yep he mentioned that up front. Couldn’t figure out why the LH calc (linked above) was showing me ~$900 less. Whether I included the AC in the selling price (which I ended up doing) or dealer fees, still the same. In any case, I’m pretty happy with the deal and have signed. $12,450 one-pay which breaks out to $1035 monthly.
Appreciate the forum and everyone’s help. Overall good first time leasing experience. To do it on a $165k car when 2 weeks ago I wasn’t even thinking about Audi is kinda crazy.
Although I’m still happy with this deal, the more I look at it the more I’m thinking I should walk away. The dealer didn’t apply any of the rebate to cap cost reduction. Is that normal? I’ve looked at several other contracts posted here and most of them show the incentives going to reducing the cap cost. Any thoughts on this and/or suggestions?
Good point. I’m happy. It’s a great car that I’ll rent for <1% of the price. But on the flip side, I just want to make sure I’m not leaving money on the table that doesn’t need to be left.
Gotcha. In my state I’d only need to pay sum of the depreciation over the term and I don’t think incentives aren’t taxed; cap cost reductions are though so this may all be moot in the end. Good info here as I may be stressing over nothing. Thanks.
