Deal Check: 2023 Nissan Ariya Venture+ FWD

I think the discount is abit low. Its a what 6.6? You can prob get a 8-9 minimum. Nissan is trying to get these things off the lots.

what state is this?

I would counter with $100-$150/m and offer to sign today.

Also, looks like $2k summer cash got baked into the discount. Do you have loyalty?
Or maybe not? Do you have break down for the rebates?

My bad, I thought the 6.6 was in dollars. I’ll try to get more discount.

I’m in North Carolina.

Wow, that’s a huge improvement. Which factors can I negotiate over? I mentioned to the dealer that my credit isn’t top-tier and asked if they can keep the same total cost with my credit. If they can, I’m ready to sign the papers. Do you think this is a valid approach?

I don’t know did they already run your credit check?
I would not mention bad credit at all, unless they bring it up.

I think the rebate is tax credit $9500 + dealer cash $2000 + lease cash $3000. No loyalty.

the thing that you need to negotiate is the discount - bring it down to 10-11% as other mentioned.

Gotcha. When I visited some dealers, most of the price increase was due to my credit score since I’m a foreign student. That’s why I mentioned the MF. I’ll try to negotiate the total discount.

After you finalize the deal can I get dealer’s info?

Sure thing. I’m still negotiating, but once it’s finalized, I’ll let you know.

I have one more question: Does the discount rate vary significantly between states?

Yes. 101010

It can. Really depends on the dealership, model, and what market they are seeing. Like recently the Kia EV9s seemed to be doing really well in the NC market but trying to get close to the same in the Northeast tristate was close to impossible.

Shoot high and see if they counter. You tell them what you want. Just expect them to go abit higher because of your credit.

Interested in Kia EV9 in NC, do you have a recommendation for an agent or dealership I can work with ?

I’ve called a bunch and they aren’t willing to give in on discounts off MSRP prior to rebates.

Union County Kia has 2 EV9s GT-line sitting for 4 months and aren’t negotiating much of a discount…

Sorry I don’t. Someone posted here a month ago they worked with a NC dealer who got him a discount off msrp vs anything he got in his current area (I think he was PA area). Sorry you will have to search I can’t remember the thread. But you should be able to find it by searching EV9 closed deals
