Deal check. 2023 Mazda CX30 2.5 Select

,

Been trying to get my a ‘23 CX30 since November 2022. Miami dealers are horrible and sharks. Started talking to @AutoNinjas 2 weeks ago. Planning to drive to Tampa to pick up tomorrow. Selling her paid 2018 civic ex with 29k miles Monday. Already went to car max and got offered 19k. What y’all think?

Why not finance it instead?

A one-pay saves $1100, otherwise

The residual is good, the MF :speak_no_evil:. Discounted to roughly invoice.

I only lease my cars. She got the civic before we met. I’m not a fan of financing a car. I have finally convinced her to get into leasing. Regardless I’m paying for it so what saying does she have LoL . This is the car she wanted. We have a 16 months old boy too. I drive the bigger 3 row suv (‘23 XC90 B6 ultimate) since I have 3 kids with my first marriage. I usually do 2-3 year leases. She also wanted a blue exterior which I finally was able to find. I wanted CX5 for her but she’s a petite small woman therefore she wants the CX30.

Because…?

I guess we all have our reasons, although

Any chance she liked something else that doesn’t lease like a battlefield amputation?

A lease is the way to go with everything, including relationships.

She wants small compact. I’ve look at Tucson/Taos/new HRV. Those horrible right now especially in Miami. In Miami all Mazda dealers at $400+ on this CX30.

Because I don’t like to drive same car for more than 3 years. I use my other/extra funds to invest in real estate/business. Been leasing since I was 21. I’m 40 today.

Yes. He should have leased his wife from the starter marriage, but purchased the 3 kids though.

Also better to marry your 2nd spouse first but that is pretty difficult to do.

I think if you polled most of us on this forum, we would agree a purchase is the better route. Past tendencies should not dictate your decision in this case. Either way, you are free to take the advice as you please. At the end of the day, it is whatever you feel happy with! Hope you enjoy the car!

Not always. Certain brands and models do not lease well. For example, I would not recommend leasing the Audi RS6. It is a finance candidate. You should always compare and contrast numbers, but leasing is not always cheaper.

Spending $10,xxx (does that include broker fee and cost of travel?) to lease a $24k car for just two years?

Doesn’t sound appealing at all

And also a CX30 sounds like a very suboptimal choice for a Rear-facing toddler seat.

Have you put the child seat in the middle of the back and then checked how much space is left for driver and passenger up front?

Thanx for the input fellas. Much appreciated. I had a few laughs too. This forum and Rolex forums my favorite at the moment.
