Deal Check: 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL AWD

Deal Check for a Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL AWD

I’m in Massachusetts and I believe this lease would qualify for the $3,500 rebate.

Term: 36 months @ 10,000 miles/month

MSRP: $52,820
Selling price: $51,320
Lease Rebate: $7,500
Customer Cash: $507.28

Money Factor: 0.00117
Residual value: $31,163.80 (59%)

Doc Fee: $498
Registration: $60
Acquisition: $650

Monthly Payment before tax: $477.25
Tax: $29.84
After: $507.28

This seems similar to an earlier deal(Link) from October. Is there room to negotiate?

Dont know, you never listed the selling price.

@mllcb42 Whoops, thank you for pointing that out.

Selling price is $51,320. Edited post.

That seems like a very poor discount compared to what I recall see lately

That is a poor discount. Our dealer is 5k off but doesn’t sell to MA

There’s a dealer discount of $3,500 listed on their site that doesn’t appear to be getting included in the quote sheet. Not sure if that’s intentional.

Of course it’s intentional.

I’ll respond in the morning to request that be applied.

Not much 2023 inventory left in Eastern Mass, so hoping to get a better deal.

@AutoCompanion was giving like 5k off east coast Ioniq 5s, you might want to eat the shipping fee and get a better deal.

Interesting. Hadn’t considered out of state and shipping.

Check if the rebate you’re referring to requires you to buy within state

It doesn’t. Just needs to be registered within 90 days.

Now they’re saying they gave me the wrong MF. I was supposed to be 0.0017 and not the 0.00117 written in the quote.

That bumps the monthly payment to $550/mo and they said they’d apply my MA EV credit and down payments to reduce the payment. No additional discounts offered.

I countered that downpayments and repurposing state incentives isn’t a solution and that a discount closer to 10% is what I’m looking forward.

0.0017 is the correct MF.
If they can do a one pay it’s a 0014 discount to 0.0003

Thanks @forbs. In the end I couldn’t get a discount beyond $2k. That was the best price anywhere, apparently…
