Deal Check: 2023 BMW X5 sdrive40i Loaner

, ,

X5 isn’t leasing that great right now but I need to replace my current X5 with another one. Think this is a pretty good deal and wanted some input.

Vehicle: 2023 BMW X5 sdrive40i

Previous Loaner with ~12k miles

MSRP: 67,520
Selling Price: 51,998
Rebates: 2,500

Residual (Adjusted for miles): 47.47%
MF: 0.0019

Due at signing: $1,895 (Acquisition Fee is capitalized)
Monthly (pre-tax): $667

The deal seems reasonable, but that is a lot of loaner miles. I bet the people that borrowed the vehicle didn’t fill up with Premium fuel when they returned it, so that could be some tough miles on the engine. It will likely be out of warranty by the time you return it. How much for a newer 2024?

Also factor in a new set of tires which cost around 3 to 4 hundred a piece plus additional periodic services (oil change, brake fluid flush) as well as wear and tear you will be responsible for on that loaner from previous users

Very important to check when the warranty clock started.

Thanks for the input, very good point about the warranty, I’ll be sure to check that. The car has 4 new tires on it so thankfully tires are not an issue.

CPO? Bought a year old loaner GLC300 and it came with 4 year unlimited mileage warranty.

It’s not CPO so no additional warranty. Stopped at the dealer to look at the car and confirmed that I’ll only be a few months out of warranty. Got the selling price reduced by another 1k as well, going to take delivery this week once the car is detailed.
