Deal Check: 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL FWD

Hackrs,

I have got the following quote from my near-by dealer.

Car: 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL FWD

MSRP: $28,640

Selling Price: $29,640 ($1K adjustment, initially asked $3K adjustment)

Region Incentive: $1,250

Mileage: 10K/36

Drive-Off: 3K

Payment: $330 (with 7.75% tax)

As usual dealer reluctant to provide deal sheet, so not sure what was used MF.

However got it from Edmuds:
RV: 58% & MF: .00050

Let me know your thoughts on this deal?

A deal sheet is unnecessary. How does this compare to the target deal you put together before approaching the dealer?

As you know nobody ready to sell a car with MSRP at-least in my area. So far this is the best deal I have come up with. Just wanted to check is this fair deal to close it out.

So how does this compare to your target deal using MSRP as the selling price?

Putting that deal together with the presumed selling price helps you verify that they’re not adding mark ups, etc.

I threw your numbers into the Edmunds lease calculator (with my zip, so taxes and fees will be different) and your quote seems close to what I would expect.

Why are you using the Edmonds calculator when you have a superior calculator on this site?

It’s only superior when you have all of the information to enter in it. I didn’t, and Edmunds filled in a bunch on it’s own.

Dealers don’t have to honor ad specials so this isn’t relevant to the market. Usually a dealer discount is needed to get to the manufacturers lease advertisement and small non-luxury small suvs are almost always sold above MSRP in the current market

correct

If it weren’t for people like you for the dealers to make money on, the rest of us wouldn’t get the deals we do. So thanks!
