Wanted to get everyone’s opinions here after the last few crazy 22 750i deals we’ve been seeing. I have had no such luck with either 740/750 cars, but I think I have some decent numbers I may be able to push further since lease support on these is ending soon. Appreciate everyone’s thoughts here:
2022 740i
MSRP approx 98K/94K (depending on which unit i pick)
Roughly 8k miles on the car
~27% off MSRP + loyalty
875/mo, 875 DAS
36/10
Hesitant to sign at these numbers… but I am driving a 540i m sport for 794/mo sign and drive (36/12), 80k MSRP (didn’t have loyalty for this one), so it’s not that much more for the 7.
It’s not amazing relative to other deals some have been getting. But if you like the spec I’d say go for it. 30% off should be attainable if you want negotiate further. The problem is right now that all the leasehackr lurkers (there’s more than you think) are calling up dealers everywhere right now and snagging up any 7 series they can get their hands on. So it can make negotiations a little harder when the dealer is getting dozens of calls about 7 series
They have two units. one is xdrive, but it’s not M sport and i don’t like the build.
The second is M sport, but it’s RWD, and i love the build, it’s very sexy.
I’ve never had a problem with any RWD cars (I had a 430i GC and a Camaro LT1 before), but what about the RWD 740i makes it tough in the winter, the weight?
I’d say the 540 is “barely” fun/sporty to drive, since I was in an Audi S5 before that.
I should add, I don’t care so much about “flipping” whatever I sign for a cash profit on the swap - a little cash on the swap is always nice but it’s not a must for the deal. I just need a deal I’m happy with and that I can transfer out of without hassle based on the payment alone. So far, I’m not happy enough to sign at 875.
I have a RWD 750 in Ohio. It’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned, but if it snows more than a dusting (or there’s a hint of ice) and I need food, I have groceries delivered. I would never have this car if I had to commute to/from work or rely on it exclusively in the winter.
Our driveway has a modest slope, and with anything more than a dusting of snow I have to make a running start to make it into the garage… which introduces the risk of overshooting the target and ending up in the utility room.
Even in dry conditions the car has too much power for just two wheels. This will be less true obviously with the 6 cylinder.
Get the one with the spec you like but expect trouble transferring the lease in the Northeast, if the payment is good enough, however, I’m sure someone will take it over, especially since these deals likely won’t be available in 4 days.
