Deal check: 2021 VW Atlas SE with Tech

This is the deal i have so far for an 2.0 SL Tech 4 motion w Captains chairs. On long island, ny.

Term: 39/7.5k
MSRP: 40,735
Selling price: $39,726
Dealer cash: -$2250
Prince: $37,476
Mf/residual: .00117/57%

$515 plus 698 bank fee plus dmv fees due at signing.

Thoughts?

Yuck. Gotta do better there.

Terrible deal. Dealers most likely not discounting these MY21 models yet, but I’m surprised there is already $2250 in rebates. 57% residual isn’t bad.

They are also picking up my remaining payments on my current lease. But those only total $757 so don’t think it really changes much. Is there a time when dealers typically begin discounting MY21? I have my current lease through mid fed so I can wait a couple months if a better deal is possible. That being said, I’ve spoken to pretty much every VW in the area plus brokers and haven’t seen anything better.

Found another deal that roles the acquisition fee in and keeps the lease payments the same

MSRP: $42,390
Selling: $37,562 (includes 2250 in rebate)
Buyout old lease: 800
Acquisition fee: 699
Doc fee: 396
Taxes: 1,564
Registration: 270
First months payment: -515
Total cap cost: 40,779

Mf/residual: .00117/59%
Payment: 515 for 36 months

Am I wasting my time looking for a better deal on this car? Should I just accept it, wait till better discounts are available, or look for another car?

looks like a solid deal but i should be able to save you a couple bucks. shoot me a dm with your number.

$2500 off is better than $1000 off, but still seems low
