Deal Check: 2021 Infiniti q50 Red Sport in MA

My current Q50 lease will end in March. Infiniti reached out to me telling me I have $2000 in loyalty cash. Told them I would be interested in a Red Sport AWD. They responded with this offer:

10k Miles for 39 Months
MSRP/Retail: $59,225.00
Total Savings: $6,000.00
Selling Price: $53,225.00
Rebate: $2,000.00
Government Fee: $135.00
Proc/Doc Fee: $599.00
Paid by Customer: $3,000.00
Residual Value: $29,612.50
Monthly Payment: $659

According to edmunds MF is .00100 and 50% residual with $6750 dealer incentive.

Does this seem to be a good deal?

Admittedly nothing about an Infiniti excites me. I think there are so many better options out there for this kind of payment.

It’s a healthy budget so you should test drive something from Europe

Ouch that residual kills!

$659 for a Q50 is rough… that’s m340i money

I will go get an M340i or a c43 amg without thinking twice (I used to have a q60 red sport for 3 years)
They are both faster (especially the m340i), more dynamic , more fun to drive more luxurious and both sounds much better
Also the m340i looks good

No don’t even bother responding back to them

Who goes to an Infiniti dealer in 2021, looks at a Q50 and says, “yeah this looks like a great car.”

Just pass dude.

I leased one back in 2015 because I got an amazing deal ($0 down/$320 a month on a mid-trim model with $44k window sticker) but even then the thing was outdated. When the lease was up I was offered a loaded up 2018 Hybrid model for $0 down and $399 a month with 9.5% sales tax included. Sticker was $51k or so. I passed.

$659 with $3k down?

I’d drive right past the Infiniti showroom and find myself a C43/S4/M340

Yea man, what others have said. Once my Q60 RS lease expired, I knew I wasn’t getting another as Infiniti seemingly stopped developing/updating their vehicles. I went with an M340i, but the other German’s mentioned (S4 and C43) are also good choices. Good luck!

$700+ for a Q50? That’s insane.

This played out exactly how I would expect it to play out.

Yup…

Go in unprepared, show the dealer that they have every advantage, ask them how much they want you to pay, be shocked when they do exactly that, consider the numbers anyway.
