Deal Check: 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x2

Hi,

Was hoping to get the opinion of the experts on the following deal. Southeast region.

2021 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x2 w/ SLT Premium Plus Package
MSRP: $55570
Discounts: $5750 includes Costco
Sale Price: ~$49820
Term: 39/12 Lease

$1000 drive off including first payment. $551/month (tax included (7.5%))

This is as close to the calculator as I could get based on the monthly payment and the discounts he provided me. Score: 8.8

calculator

Thanks in advance!

Strip out all incentives from the actual dealer discount

What’s the buyrate MF according to Edmunds?

According to edmunds. .00021 MF and 60% residual. So they are increasing it a bit for profit but won’t budge much more.

And what is the pre-incentive discount?

I assume 4750 since Costco is 1k.

Ok, so if buy rate is .00021 and they’re charging .00086, they’re marking it up by .00075 which is basically equivalent to 4% of msrp.

$4750 is 8.5% of msrp. So you’re sitting at roughly 4.5-5% pre-incentive discount when adjusted for buy rate. How does that compare against the other sierra deals you’ve researched?

Just friendly correction. .00086-.00021 = .00065
:+1:

Correct you are.

In that case, 5-5.5% pre-incentive for comparison.

Quotes have been all over the place with this truck. Same build ranges all the way into the low/mid $600s. This is the best I’ve found so wanted to get some input. Agree, it doesn’t seem fantastic at all but the best I’ve seen at this moment.

Monthly is fairly irrelevant to the discussion. Varies way too much based on individual factors. How does the pre-incentive discount % compare?

Valid point. I will look into the pre-incentive comparisons. What is a good goal to obtain?

It varies by vehicle. Best thing to do is compare against other sierra deals on here to get the pulse of the market.
