Deal Check: 2021 BMW 330e

Hi All,

Got the following quote in San Francisco:

Car: 2021 BMW 330e
MSRP: 51,295
Adjusted Price: 43,499 (plus additional discount to get to 580. I estimate ~1,400)
Terms: 36m/10k miles per year
DAS: 0
Payment: 580 all in.

Salesman gave me 10% off sticker plus incentives. 1,166 elec rebate plus 1,500 deal cash

Is this a solid deal? I thought it was a good deal given inventory issues, but after reading about other deals in the 300-500 range, not convinced. Thanks for reading

what are the incentives break down, what money factor?

You can start with this but you are missing a few pieces of information.

Will let others chime in who have more BMW specific experience, but overall seems really solid given 0 DAS (and SF, which is probably a very competitive market).

Wasn’t given the MF. The incentives were just the 2 rebates I called out.

Should I let it go? Don’t really need a car right now, but was pulling the trigger since I thought at the time that it was good.

I also saw this post on Reddit, which suggested there might be significantly more $ on the table:

Feel free to share any recent deals that show that payment range on a brand new 330e.

That I can’t help you.

I started a calculator for you, you will need to fill it out yourself, you are missing almost everything to make proper evaluation, m.f., incentives, etc. I don’t know what you qualify for, OL, Penfed, loyalty, etc. Good luck!

That’s from 2.5 months ago… it’s a whole new world now. March deals were ok

Yeah, I do appreciate it. Because I’m missing the MF I can’t complete it (I tried before initiating the post :frowning: ).

I reached out to salesman to get the deal sheet. I suspect the MF is being marked up.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 (Blog | LEASEHACKR) to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!!
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator (CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR), and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.

Don’t know what your tax rate is or if you have loyalty, it’s not that far off. There was a 330e that was in the $300’s but it has Texas tax credit I think. Going out on a limb here since I was trying to get a 330e, here are the incentives: Add 2k more if you have loyalty to the tax incentives.

This is great, thanks!

So he gave me the 1,166 EV credit and 1,500 lease cash. Am I eligible for another 2,000 lease cash on top of the 1,500?

I don’t have a car now and not military, so I don’t qualify for any other offers that I know of.

Tax rate is 8.75% and guy just messaged me back and MF is 0.00133.

I attached deal sheet.

You qualify for $2666. If you had a BMW in the past 6 months, another $2000. I love that PermaPlate for $595. Looks like buy rate.

Just googled it. Looks like some BS wax job that they charge out the wazoo for. If the deal isn’t a steal, I might just walk away.
