After negotiating with over 7 dealers in SoCal, the best deal I was offered is below, which is a counter offer that I am to accept but wanted to how well the price is:

MSRP $56,500
Sale price $49,500 (after $2,000 incentive)
Rebate $600
Fees $1,648.75 ($560 Reg, $990 Acq, $85 doc fees, $8.75 tire)
Drive off $1,500
Residual 58%

Term 36/12

Monthly $585 including tax
The car been sitting on the lot for approximately 110 days per carguru website so I don’t know if this is normal
Volvo SUVs have less wiggle room on them than the sedans. On sedans I am seeing 16-20% discounts. Not sure if you are seeing the right numbers based on your efforts to leverage competitive deals, but there are a lot of incentives Volvo is offering including loyalty and dealer discounts. I just got a quote on a S60 at around 17% off MSRP, but still trying to get more out of it.
Sorry, post incentive. Incentives only gave me 7% - so I had a 10% discount without incentives. Again, the SUVs are different. I have a good relationship with my dealer now after hacking 2 leases with them previously. He knows what I want and is honest about what can be done. I want to get my wife a XC60 for Christmas and it’s tough negotiating…but I will keep pushing it to see how far I can drive it down. I think there is some room as well. And it’s a new car, non-fleet.
Thank you guys. This dealer gave me the best price. I tried with all dealers to be around 14-15% post incentive but no luck.I don’t qualify for loyalty or affiliate.
Also in which zip code someone is shopping also makes a difference to how much the dealers are willing to negotiate
