Deal Check: 2020 Mercedes AMG E53

2020 Mercedes Benz AMG E53 Sedan

Going from a 2018 C300 to this vehicle. Debating between C63s and this car, really wanted the C63s, but consider overall elements, bigger, smoother car works better for me. Might regret for not taking the last V8 C63s.

42/10
MSRP $84,800
Drive-off: $4,000
Monthly $950 including CA tax.

Including previous lease $4,600 negative

Will disclose detail tomorrow when I sign.

Does it sound reasonable?

Thanks

You’re missing a ton of details. Selling price, incentives included, MF, RV, breakdown of due at signing numbers.

Yes I know man, I will get that part tomorrow, was hoping a glance from all pro hacks, how does it look roughly.

Will update info tomorrow.

No one can properly evaluate your deal, because you have incomplete information, so you really don’t “know man”.

Why are you signing this tomorrow if you don’t know how the deal is structured?

Start by separating this out.

What is the urgency behind signing a deal you don’t fully understand, while throwing away an extra $4,600 in the process?

My buddy is the GM at the dealership, I figure he is giving me a solid deal, but will definitely check all detail and structure before signing.

My almost $600 registration fee is due in a few days along with the B service. Was planning to get into a new car in December and this came up with the right spec. Feel paying $600 form 3 months will be a waste, so decided to do it now rather put that $600 into a new car.

Forget about the deal for a second.

You’re willing to pay $4,600 to avoid registration and one scheduled service?

I would value an oil change well under $4,000.

Don’t pay thousands more to “save” $600. Make sure to get all the details before.

Did you get quotes for your -$4600 car from car buying services?

May I guess?

That’s part of the reason. Main reason is just me, wanting to get something bigger and little more powerful and fun to drive.

Yes, tried carvana, CarMax and Algo, roughly $5,300 buried. $4600 is about all my remainder balance before pull ahead program.

It’s your money. Not sure why you care if the new deal is any good since you want it at any cost.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

you sure he’s a buddy? This lack of details and will get when i sign isnt very friendish sounding… I would at least search edmunds for MF/Res/incentives to understand where you should be before even stepping foot in the dealer. Unless this was just a let me post but nothing they say will change my mind

Oh boy, I can’t tell you how many times people have gotten screwed by “buddies” they thought were giving them a deal.

Agree. Wholeheartedly. This whole post just strikes me as someone looking for validation on a deal they will sign no matter what.

Do you have more details about your C300? I’m interested in buying one. What’s the offer where it would put you $4,600 under? I can probably do better.
