DEAL CHECK: 2020 Chevy Traverse LT cloth

,

This is my first time getting a lease after reading this site. I know I made a few mistakes. I just want to see if I got a good deal and what I can do better on my next one.

Vehicle: 2020 Chevy Traverse LT cloth
MSRP: 38390

Location: 33417 (South Florida)

The dealer also paid $1446 to pay off my previous lease. I added the wear and tear protection and key replacement coverage for $599.

Over $400/mo and no fake leather, sounds pretty bad, does it have heated seats? What was your drive off amount? I hope nothing

Looks like $2500 DAS, effective $475/mo very meh. Rolling in the old lease was about $40 a month extra

You could have paid that off yourself instead of rolling it in and paying interest plus tax a second time.

Or waited to complete the lease instead of effectively paying for two cars for a few months

Thanks for the feedback. I know I’ve read several times to never rollover money into a new lease, but we just had a baby and needed the extra room. I tried to get two dealers to complete with each other but one dropped off after this offer. Next time I will wait. Any other suggestions?

Next time post your numbers here prior to signing. The great car seat debate, must be your second or third kid since you got a Traverse

It’s our second, the car was fully packed before his arrival so we needed more space.

I posted a similar deal a few weeks ago for an LS: NOT SIGNED YET 2020 Chevy Traverse LS AWD w/Blackout Package, Rims $39370k MSRP $479 $0 DAS. We ended up not leasing and buying an 8 passenger AWD LT Leather instead. We like the 2-3-3 configuration and were set on a Traverse, but it seems this vehicle just doesn’t lease very well (mediocre MF, low residuals, no MSDs). Personally I’m not sure you could have done much better leasing this car, so enjoy!
