Deal Check: 2020 BMW X2 demo 3,600 miles $433/month DAS $433 first month payment 36m/10k

,

Greater NYC area.

BMW X2 with 3645 miles. MSRP $43,030. First offer was:

Price $37,000
Monthly payment $411.22 with $3,383.14 DAS ($411.22 first month, $925 acq. fee, $330 dmv, $75 doc, $10 inspection, $125 mats, $110 nitrogen, $12.5 tire, $1,384.42 sales tax) $1,000 lease bonus cash.

RV $23,309.80 (56% - $787 for miles).

Next offer (without details provided, just that lowered sale price to $34k after incentives and discounts, which I take to mean $36k sale price) was $433/month with $433 DAS for first month payment (includes extra $1000 loyalty credit by registering at at family address where we are staying who owns a current BMW so $2000 total).

I have to input about -1900 in the down payment section of the calculator to get the monthly price and DAS to the right numbers. Is that correct way to do it?

I still think its too high for me but curious of thoughts. But looks like about 16% off MSRP which isn’t bad?

Another question is if I took this, is this attractive enough to have not too much difficulty transferring the lease down the road if needed? Many thanks.

Adding link to calculator. To get only first month’s payment DAS I had to adjust down payment with negative number (is that right?).

I would pass unless you absolutely must have an X2 right now

Effective 500 on an X2, I’d pass.

nope wasn’t even looking for it, only if it was a great deal.

dealer told me $433/month with only $433 due at signing. What do you mean at effective 500? are there other fees I am missing? thanks!

I have seen X3 loaner with around $400 per month (before tax) before on this forum. If I were you, I would take an X3 instead of X2.

Get Acura MDX ASPEC.

thanks, I do like that, but looking for something under 181" to avoid nyc parking oversize charges.

I understand. Good Luck

FWIW I drive and park an X5 (194.3 inch length, just looked it up) in a manhattan garage and do not pay any oversized surcharges. That is both at my monthly parking space as well as hourly parking at garages around the city. I think as long as you are not in the Escalade size of SUV and the car is sub 100k value you’ll be fine, but worth calling your garage of choice to be certain about the specific model.

wow that’s news to me. I will have to call and ask more. The websites on most garages say 181" - and on the Spot Hero parking app, most will show oversize fee for things like Honda CR-V (which is 182"). I’ll have to check on garages near me and see. Thanks!
