I tried reading the how to use the leasehackr calculator thread, but still screwed it up.
Do you qualify for any incentives?
Is there no tax where you are registering your car? Assuming the dealership is in VA but you are not.
I don’t know of any incentives specifically I would qualify for. I’m a USAA member, but I don’t have any loyalty to take advantage of.
There would be tax on the car. I’m in VA. I believe it’s 4.5%.
Looks like they residual is 53%, but the MF doesn’t make sense.
Also, you should qualify for USAA and conquest (look into it).
The MF the calculator gives me with 7 MSDs to buy it down is 0.00123. Does that make more sense?
There is no loyalty/conquest or any other incentive including usaa that can be used on the m2 comp
Your MF should be .00118 before msds
They are jacking it up to .00158 before msds
You should be at .00083 after msds
I was told, “the base line is .00118. Dealer rate is .00158. I am selling you the vehicle below invoice so the .00040 is my profit margin.”
Ouch
There is no loyalty/conquest or any other incentive including usaa that can be used on the m2 comp
walk away then…it’s a crap deal

Looks like this is the calculator for your deal. They are giving you 9.2% discount with $699 dealer fee and inflated MF. Looks like a bad deal like others mentioned.

BMW Car Club Of America has a $500 rebate on the M2C.

$6,000 is a fine discount on a new M2C. You should PURCHASE not lease. You will never get rid of this car. It is awesome.

Is it a crap deal even for VA?
Batistuta, thanks for filling out the calculator for me. That’s how mine turned out, but the monthly payments didn’t match up so I figured I did it wrong.
I recommend doing it if they can give you base MF.
You may be better off financing an M2. They hold their values. May be worth more than the residual. You save the $995 acquisition fee.
You are welcome. Have you considered an M4 CS? Your monthly payment will be cheaper than an M2C if you can find one with 18-20% discount.

VA you pay the full sales tax on a lease right? This is definitely a car to buy with the lease terms BMW gives them. Even more so if you have to pay the full tax either way.
Have I considered a $100k car? No way lol. How do you find a car with a 18% discount? What dealership would sell a car at that kind of a loss?
Check his @nextlevelautobrokers thread in Marketplace and you will be surprised.
When leasing, MSRP alone is not a good metric for comparing deals. Sometimes the more expensive MSRP leases cheaper.
I’d recommend that you stop talking to dealers and spend a little while doing more research before reengaging.
