Deal Check - 2020 Audi S3 P+

Located in Tampa, FL

I entered in everything to the calculator and get within $12 so might be missing something. I want to make sure I’ve got everything pretty close to come up with my counter offer.

Salesperson already noted that MF is bumped up to .00090 from .00046 and I’m not doing that much DAS. Acq. fee is in the “Non Tax Fees”

LH Calculator

thanks in advance!

Run away from that deal…3k down… that puts your effective at basically 650 a month for only 7500 miles. This needs to be closer to 500/550 with that low mileage.

For reference S5 with 12 to 15k miles will go in the 650 to 700 range.

Not a good deal. This model will be redesigned next year as the current generation came out in 2015 and hasn’t had any significant changes. Coincidentally I was recently browsing at used ones in the high 20/low 30k price range. Fun car nonetheless.

$1,189 doc fee might be the highest I’ve ever seen. Wow.

Go for buy rate. I live in South Florida and got buy rate. Use the buy rate in your calculation. They may fudge the numbers n the contract but as long as you get the payment you want, that’s all that matters.

I was thinking about the redesign today and holding off. Definitely don’t want another A4, would like a TT/A5 but those leases seem to suck even more.

The payment will be similar for an A5/S5 depending on spec…TTs don’t lease well at all.

just got this quote but need some input on it.

10% of MSRP
5500 Incentives
5500 MSD
Audi Care 799
Tint 695

they have added stupid tint price cause dealers here tint car upon arrival to dealership.

Im trying to get close to a 450 payment on this car.

I’ve found south Florida Audi will do buy rate, but central and northern audi dealerships refuse.

I salute you guys for trying to find a good deal on an S3 but they are almost always terrible when compared to similar vehicles. They’re nice but definitely poor options when compared to pretty much any A4/S4, 3 Series inc 340i especially ex-loaners, SQ5, heck you could even get an X3M for around that amount. All of those alternatives have better base options and features and most have better performance. A Golf R has the same drivetrain and all wheel drive system, and is normally better value (but I haven’t checked recently).

Audi prioritize the A3/S3/RS3 and Q3/RSQ3 for Europe so they don’t really have fire sales on these models in the US.

Go test drive an M340i xdrive. I drove one this past weekend at a BMW event. The Beamer is a beast in sheep’s clothing. Here is a comparison of specs for a 2020 Audi S3 P+ and a 2020 BMW M340i xdrive:

  • BMW: 382 hp, 369 lb-ft, 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds
  • Audi: 288 hp, 280 lb-ft, 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds

DO NOT SIGN. Go test drive the Beamer first.

Minimal discount + terrible residual = Horrible deal. Walk away. Do not try negotiating with this dealer.

Just gonna hold of on an S3 gonna go with possibly A3 for now. will check out bmw and mercedes, i have the money but just dont want to be stupid with it. specially since inventory is low and kick back to dealers are bad so they are upping the MF to get some profits back.

There are NO deals on m340i’s until the inventory picks up.

Some brokers have deals.

Well, I guess I haven’t looked enough, because I can get an s4 for around 610 a month but on a similar msrp m340i every dealer has flat out old me they cannot get close to that :frowning:

I disagree. While the s4 is a nice upgrade over the, I am not sure it is worth around 100 dollars a month more. Some people have budgets that have a hard ceiling. It looks like I could get an S3 with the same payment as my A4. While the A4 is more updated and more luxurious, the S4 is a more fun drive.

$100 dollars a month more than what? Especially with loyalty and a decent 10% discount will get you an S4 often for less than an S3. That has been the trend for years. I ran the numbers just the other week on an S4 PP and it was in the $600’s with no down payment.

You need to look outside of Florida, especially if inventory is low there.

Ok so a bunch of you might not like this comment but my .02 as someone who has had both Golf R and driven the S3 a bunch. I suggest you finance a CPO 2018 or 2019 Golf R. it’ll have like 86 months of warranty and it really is the “same” car. Also R is available in manual which Makes the driving experience for this engine. You’ll save $ up front and the R will hold its value very well so when you get sick of it you’ll be able to sell no problem. And the R has the hatch so more versatility. And the R has better rear leg room (though barely!) OK rant over…

Yes but I just got quoted 518 for a premium plus s3 and 623 for a premium plus s4 both with 10 percent costco discount.
