Leasing a car for the very 1st time and would like your thoughts on this deal. It’s a 2019 BMW X5 x40i loaner with 1900 miles on it.

My area sales tax is 9.25%
Cap reduction: $2000 (I know it should be $0, but please bear with me)
MSD: $4900 (7 MSD, I don’t know)

Monthly (with tax): $697

The dealer is not willing to negotiate further and says this is the best price.

The numbers also do not line up when I plug them into the calculator, please correct me if I am messing up somewhere.

Thanks in advance for your time!

12% on a 19 loaner isn’t stellar.

What are the numbers you’re trying to match to?

Thanks @mllcb42 for replying. The calculator shows me $641 monthly with tax, while the dealer has offered $697 with tax. I am unable to figure out the delta.

What is the due at sale they’re asking?

Due at signing: $4900 (7MSD) + $2000 (cap reduction) + $697 (1st month payment) = $7,597

That’s part of the problem. Your due at sale on your calculator is about $1500 more. Doesn’t make up for the whole difference though. Are you sure they aren’t marking up the mf? The numbers pretty much add up correctly with a .0002 mark up on the mf.

Thanks again for looking into my numbers! Let me ask the dealer on the mf.

Hard pass. Two months ago, I paid less on a brand new 2019 X5 at a slightly higher MSRP. Here you go for reference - hope it helps! Signed: 2019 BMW X5 xDrive40i ($639mo + tax, $700 drive-off, no MSD)

RV was 1% higher and MF was lower when you purchased back in December at the end of the year. I do agree that the OP’s deal is not a good one.
