My only suggestion is to have them cut you a check for the $500. Are you sure the vehicle isn’t worth far more and they’re hosing you on the trade and making up for it in selling price reduction??? Cheap used cars are the easiest sell ever on fb/Craigslist. $500 is a non-running vehicle price.
Ok good, that’s what I thought too! Thanks for letting me know about the trade, is there an advantage to asking for a check versus applying it to the lease and saving a little on tax? The car was actually showing like $450 on KBB for trade in value so it’s definitely not worth more than that lol! It actual does run but it has a lot of cosmetic issues and has an accident in its history so it’s probably not worth the hassle of selling privately.
