CULA - Early termination trade-in

,

I never had to get out of a lease early, but I guess my time has come  Had a great deal on my Jeep GC, 39/12k, but unfortunately I’m putting way too much mileage on it and have to make ways with it and say farewell before its too late and get stuck buying it.

Im not familiar with early lease termination with CULA, except that I can’t sell to third parties like Carvana, Vroom, or other people. However, I called CULA and they said I am able to trade-in the vehicle at a dealership, but they weren’t specific on this question so im not sure if there are any strings attached.

For those that have experience with leases from CULA:

In simple terms, can I go to any dealership of any make and sell my vehicle to them as long as they take possession of the car and satisfy the payoff letter?

Or does this has to be a trade-in, where I have to lease or purchase a new car? (I may be over thinking this one )

Why not call the dealer you bought it from and ask?

I would think yes, you could trade it in towards another vehicle from a dealer of the same brand. You might be upside down on it though, and they’ll roll the inequity on top of the new car deal.

Check if you have negative equity. If you do, and it’s huge, consider a beater or motorcycle that costs less than your inequity to stretch your miles, maybe.

@RVguy is the best to answer CULA questions since he works there.
