CT4 BW at MSRP, should I do it?

Last minute cancellation on an ordered car today, dealer is looking to sell before the end of the year aka tomorrow. Base spec manual at MSRP, should I do it? Are the manual CT4 BWs still fetching markups?

@cjsen Please chime in, I was actually excited about the prospect of buying it, glowing reviews by everyone

I have one instock at 4k off.

I know nothing about the pricing of this car, but I would assume that MSRP could be a pretty good deal on something that has the potential to be a future classic.

Does cjsen work for a dealer or are they a broker?

Oh wow, manual or auto?

Make it a 5bw 4k off and in all ears

Last minute rush/sale for MSRP, on this car? Pass.

Maybe the v8 but not the v6

10 speed and it is summit white.

Thanks but I am strictly shopping for the manual, which seems to be more desirable than auto if I am not mistaken…

I think msrp for a manual 4BW is a fair price at this point. Not a “deal” and certainly no flip value. So if want the car and like the spec then you get the extra bonus of being able to pick it up tomorrow vs potentially needing to wait.

FYI a manual 4BW recently sold on carandbids over msrp, BUT (1) it had both carbon fiber packages which is super rare because of major production delays for cars with the carbon boxes ticked and (2) this particular auction had 1 early bidder who just popped it to $80k and there was no other bidding action. So this kind of result may not be easily replicable.

Is it lightly optioned?

after taxes he still lost money

and if he leased(which he did not) cadillac does not allow 3rd party buyouts

^For those of us who want to make driving a car alot more work, much slower by every objective measure, and lose the ability to eat pizza while driving.

Ohh ok yea given the lease transfer no-go then yea 100% no flip upside.

@moodyhank I would pass on it honestly! These used to be safe buys at MSRP but that is no longer the case.

The dealer who purchased my CT4 V BW is still sitting on it 5 months later and has lowered the price by $10k over time. Also here is a dealer post from Nov 1 advertising $7k off.

However, it is an amazing car! It is far more dynamic than even a G82 M4 I had this year and that Tremec manual transmission is to die for. Please proceed if you value a nice drivers car and the driving experience, but these will definitely be underwater instantly.

Edit: mine also had the Carbon Fiber Pack 1, which made it a little bit more desirable. Seems GM still hasn’t figured out supply chain/QC issues on these and it’s still unavailable for current builds.

So it is a great car but not a good value unless I can get a discount? I am really conflicted because I also have a G87 coming in April so picking up the 4BW would probably mean skipping the G87…
