Hi guys,

So, i found the deal and submit the credit application. Dealer and banker(Chase) said everything looks good except my length of visa. So, I’m international and i have 2 years left. My visa is extandable up to 6 years but banker just need letter that can proof company will extand my visa(I work for one of biggest tech company). I’m waiting my company’s lawyer help if they can provide me a letter. But I just wanted to ask you guys while I’m waiting their response.

When I leased my current vw jetta three years ago, they didn’t ask me even I had 1 year visa at that time.

Please advise me if anyone has same experience…

It varies from dealer to dealer & lender to lender. I even had the same issue when shopping for my mortgage. Some lenders want 2+ years left on visa, some don’t care. I got my mortgage at the end of my 3rd year on H1B, before renewal. Some lenders wouldn’t even consider me, but others said no problem.

If you’re having issues, I’d shop around for a different dealer/lender.

Did you try to get a letter from your company or lawyer?

don’t mention your visa or show it to anyone. Look for another lender/dealer. As long as your credit is good, you’re good.
