Good afternoon….I have a 2022 Alfa Romeo STELVIO with a lease end in August. The lease is through Ally and I’m looking at the following vehicles (in no particular order)
Genesis GV70
Infiniti QX60
Mazda CX70
BNW X3
Definitely looking to lease again.

I would add Q5 to that mix and the GLC. See what you like best in terms of driving. Then find a car that works with the budget and pricing. Naperville dealers are horrible. Be open to getting it from Central IL or IN. When I was living there I had multiple cars shipped to me from MO or TN and it was fast cheaper
You have plenty of time until lease end so do you know how to use the calc here and put a target deal together? If not educate yourself and start searching this site on those vehicles and how to lease. Look in Marketplace too.

Is paying the negative equity worth it to end the lease early?
I would encourage you to look at the signed deals here. The BMW dealer there and a couple others close by never got to my pricing. I had 3 BMWs shipped from other places
I was fortunate enough when we moved to the Alfa Romeo that the Alfa dealer bought us out of our last lease…..

Sorry but if you don’t know how to calculate a lease payment yourself it is a 99% chance that dealer that “helped” you actually screwed you by adding your negative equity and more into your current lease.
The payment was under what I calculated and they took in our current lease - keep in mind it was during Covid and used cars were scarce
I’m in the Chicago suburbs too and I found most dealers don’t come close to matching the deals listed here. Maybe you will have better luck. But consider having it shipped from out of state.
That is one of the reasons I wanted to start early - there are several car dealerships within a few minutes of our house so I can look and take my time. I came on here because of the experience of the folks on this forum - including your advice to look outside the area….

Truth is there really aren’t ‘hacks’ on ICE luxury compact SUVs…personally (and I have bought BMWs from him) just get the X3 from Mike Alder who is GM at Bill Jacobs…he will deal.
it makes sense why, it’s the one class that everyone is trying to get into now. not many people want a third row or an EV
The pertinent question is whether you have zero negative or positive in your current lease
A lot of things were possible before but that aren’t now.
