It’s not a bad idea from an efficiency/engineering standpoint. But the Volvo doesn’t get very high marks from a NVH perspective, which will be more problematic (IMHO) than it “only” being a 4-cyl. And I agree that it may also be a problem in a segment where “specialness” and perception are perhaps more important than, well, anything else.
