Cons of leasing demo/loaner Volvo S90

If I am leasing or buying for that matter a demo or loaner Volvo S90, what do I lose in terms of warrantee, coverage or any other perk?

A dealer is offering me 2019 S90 T5 MOM FWD demo at 24% discount off its 55,945 MSRP after I approached them for best sale price but not sure if this is good or bad discount for a demo including incentives.

I wouldn’t buy it. The s90s plummet in value. My 18 is worth in the mid to high 20s.

They’d need to do a lot better than 24% off to make that make any sense.

Not a bad buy off lease? Man, that’s a lot of depreciation.

RV is about $14k above market value right now. So glad I leased if instead of purchased. Let Volvo own that depreciation

Thanks for the tip. Now you are saying that and I am redoing the math then I guess they need to offer around 30-35% off msrp to make sense against the actual market value.

As far as warrantee and perks go, do you lease any of those when leasing demo/loaner?

Warranty starts when the vehicle was put into service, so you’ll need to ask about that. You also don’t get the bonusdrive post sale rebate.

Have you looked at prices on cpo 18 or 19s?

30%-35% OFF, Dont think that will happen.

Agreed. There is someone who will bite at 16-20%

Not saying it will but it may not make sense to buy it either at such discount simply because if sale price is 42k before fees and tax and you put 30k miles in 2 years and sell it in 2022 for 20k so you depreciated the car $22k in 24 months of ownership, so you end up with a monthly cost of $917, which is way high for this car at 56k.
Someone else who is planning to keep the car for longer time may make sense to him to buy at 24% discount.
