Ive seen a lot of generalized accusations being made, but yet to see anyone state something specific or substantiate it.
No one is going to do anything about the brokers discussing their experiences with specific customers to each other, nor do I think it is a reasonable expectation to.
If someone actually has some evidence of actual private personal information being shared that goes beyond “that John Smith guy is a crappy customer due to x experience”, by all means, substantiate it and call it out.
I still think your first example is unethical. I mean when a broker who may have an axe to grind gives a one sided testimonial to other brokers and influences their receptiveness to do business with the customer, it’s neither good for the customer nor for the other brokers. Ofc brokers are free to ignore their disgruntled colleague, but if they don’t, it becomes somewhat unfair.
Everyone should judge others based on their own personal experiences.
Yeah. Should give a person a chance. The sisterhood black ball everyone but I still work with other brokers on here with no issues. Those brokers lost out on potential sales cause of one broker didn’t like a client. If person does same thing to every broker than it’s understandable
Just because a broker is on here, doesnt necessarily mean you can 100% trust them, still use your due diligence (i.e. read reviews, both on LH and off LH, see how the broker interacts on the forums, etc). From my understanding, some states do not require brokers to be licensed.
Usu just a DL and proof of insurance is reqd, when ive worked with brokers, the dealer has sent the credit app.
The contract you are asking for probably isnt going to be provided. I havent been provided those on deals ive negotiated myself. The only thing the contract specifies with regards to additional charges is the $/mile over. There typically isnt anything specific re damage etc written in my lease contracts. You may be able to find info on forums or mftr website
