To fill in the details the deal went like this.
Step 1 June 14 2024 Dealer on the East side of my state wants to become the worlds largest corvette seller and next big performance shop. He posted on a FB group that he needed to fill a Z06 allocation by the end of the day or lose it. I call him 5 min before dead line and negotiate a big discount. He is happy to fill the allocation I am happy to get a great deal. Plus I had my order at the ready and read it off to him as he entered it in the computer.
Step 2 Car arrives August 12th 2024 and I do a CULA lease with local credit union who is super easy to work with with no bs fees.
Step 3 Car is funded and registered August 15th 2024
Step 3 (B) I drive the shit out of the Z06 enjoying it marvelous sounds and handling averaging 9.6 miles to the gallon. Smiles per gallon
Step 4 Get numbers from all online places and start calling local dealers on my side of the state west side as they are smaller dealerships with a 3 yr wait yet on Z06’s.
Step 5 sell to local dealer October 1st 2024 as they have some one lined up who is sick of waiting on the list for his car. (Side note GMTV was very strong with online offer and was my 2nd choice, but I do not want to drive 2 hrs each way to auction house.)
Step 6 I am happy with $ and Dealer is happy as they made money selling to guy on list $ and new owner is happy he no longer has to wait for his dream ride.
Step 7 I am #1 on list of 3 dealerships for ZR1
