From Edmonds: MF is .00028 and 64% in 91504, 10k/36mo.
MSRP: $36,240
Sales Price: $35,535 ($500 cashback)
Incentives: $3k (CA Clean Fuel + Chevy Loyalty, both $1500).
Looking at $360/month, zero down, zero drive off. They had originally quoted me closer to $466-$480/month.
Is there any meat left on the bone here, or is this about as good as I’m gonna get? Something to factor in is they will be honoring the Level 2 charger installation, AND CA has the Clean Vehicle Rebate Program valued at $2k, so I’m looking at an effective lease of $300/month.
I hadn’t, but comparing his one pay for a similar bolt EV, he’s at ~$10,750 (+$750 not being in the Bay Area), so about $11,500 altogether. My lease is looking like $~13,000 but thats with financing. So it seems like I’m close, but maybe can pull a lil more meat off the bone?
I do plan on trying to bring them down just a lil bit more with a potential educator discount and also because they’ve yet to hit my target number, but I was hoping some in person negotiating would help a little more.
The main thing there is that you have multiple data points of “good” deals to extract a target pre-incentive discount from. Things like supplier/educator discount are irrelevant to that, as that’ll either work or not no matter where you go.
Extract the pre-incentive discount adjusted for any mark ups and compare your numbers. That’s the best way to judge the quality of the deal you have in front of you.
It’s certainly possible to get a lease for the same pre-incentive discount. The one pay option will have a mf discount associated with the lease program resulting in a lower net lease cost, but the factors feeding into the lease shouldn’t differ.
You can definitely do a One Pay lease but the benefits are not that great currently. The money factor is already very low on these right now so while you will save a bit that way it’s not a dramatic difference. Any GM dealer should be able to do that for you, including the California dealers here that are already offering better pricing.
