I’m trying to transfer GM finance lease and 3 people applied and all of them got declined.
These people all have good credit scores and still getting declined. When I asked the agent, she mentioned that they need prime credit.
Do they check the assuming party to have comparable credit like mine?

Yea usually transfers require equal or better credit than the original lessee
Are they instate or out of state transfers, GM doesnt allow out of state

It might be helpful to ask the agent or institution for a more detailed explanation of what constitutes a “prime credit” for this type of transfer, in order to better understand the exact criteria applied.

793 but is it a thin file?
Just add it to the list of 100 other things in life you get screwed on for being responsible.

That would be my guess. Having worked for a captive (manufacturer) lender, I can confirm that a thin file with a high score is a higher risk than someone with a 650 and a few minor late payments.
If you were responsible, you wouldn’t be leasing a Chevy.
Haha leasing a Chevy means you’re not out of warranty in a Chevy. I call that the definition of responsible.
