Guys. This is really weird. My 2017 c300 lease is up in 10 days. Had AutoVin guy check out the car. Told me all good. 15 minutes into driving after the inspection check engine light comes on. I opened and close the gas cap just in case. This must be a weird coincidence. But the question is: do I bring it into the dealership now or just return with the light on? My thought is whatever it is it should be covered under original warranty.
Annoying. It’s under warranty, just take it in. Don’t ground it with the light if you can avoid it.
Mercedes does a second inspection once the car is turned in. So probably best to in it in to get checked out.
I Just had a similar experience. I don’t believe Wear and tear and Maintenance is covered in Damages.
I’m not sure what you mean. It’s not wear and tear and not maintenance.
On the way to the dealer to turn it in, stop by an Autozone and have them pull the code. At the same time they can clear the light
So question, hows your tire looking when you’re turning it in?
I have a C class, E Class and a new GLS, both C and E’s tire needs to be replaced around 20k miles…
Wonder if its just my rough driving…
I will let you know once I get the report. But the rep said “all good” I have approximately 21k miles on original tires…
Update: the check engine light went away by itself. Finally got the inspection report. No excess wear and tear. Original tires checked as follows: front: 5/32; rear: 6/32
Thanks
ye with 21k, 5/32 and 6/32 seems low
good enough for not needing replacement.
