Once she has a license you have to either add her to your insurance or get another policy. If she still has a permit you don’t have to yet.

If she is driving even for a second, yes. Why would you not? You do realize that there would be zero coverage if she were to wreck.

My kiddo drives a BZ4X. Either that or a Hornet.
I did look at several Hornets but the dealers that have them wouldn’t negotiate

Also opt for active safety features. Besides obvious reasons, they might also prevent small damages.

Expand your search. All you need is one dealer to play ball and then you can get a closer dealer to match it. NJ CDJR dealers are notoriously terrible for deals.
Depending on what that is, give it to her and get yourself the new one.

Get her a used e-golf, with the used ev incentive, the car loan payment should be affordable. With the range, she will not go far from home LOL.

Please don’t get that cheapest car. Please get the cheapest iihs TSP+ car. As a first responder that’s what I beg parents to do. You may have a responsible kid but their friends may not be, or another random driver may not be.
