Charger Hellcat WB spin off - ordering, configs, flips, etc

Yea whine and exhaust are amazing

Rain. Slip

Dry pavement. Slip.

Thing definitely needs awd

Cold weather too.

Anyone put good tires on one and seen what its like?

The P Zeros aren’t the pinnacle of grip…even my 5 series can make them slip.

The slipping is the fun!

Summers don’t help much, need drag radials of better. In the rain and such, I used to run it in the ~500 hp reduced power mode. Helped some. Awesome car though, awesome at hauling ass as well as hauling the family.

Agreed. When you discussing traction at that level of potency…drag radials are the best (in terms of grip).

Winter/wet conditions…obviously a dedicated winter tire would do wonders as well, even on a Hellcat.

I don’t know how you floored this sh*t from stop light to stop light … were you on the black key?

This thing tap dances more than Gregory Hines on the red key

How is wireless CarPlay not a thing on an 80k car. My one knock against the car.

Just look on the bright side, the ancient car has CarPlay.

It is amazing how far our ā€œneedsā€ have evolved. I remember years ago, having an iPod with an FM transmitter (or if you were lucky enough to actually have an aux input). It was mind blowing to be able to choose from hundreds of songs, and within seconds. :sweat_smile:No searching through a case, ejecting, inserting, etc.

Oh yea I remember those. I also had the 3.5mm input to cassette adapter…… back in the 90s to play music off my portable CD player :grimacing:

On the bright side, the Bose system in Charger is pretty good

Ha, so did I!! I completely forgot until you mentioned it. I actually had one of those well before the transmitter (or eventually get a car with a dedicated aux input).

The cassette adapter was less than $10 iirc lol and worked decently well.

If would be HK I’d you selected the ā€œupgradeā€ system, otherwise it is Alpine.

I don’t have a Hellcat (yet) but the Alpine system was more than adequate in my ā€˜21 ScatPack WB (basically the same car). I didn’t go with the HK on that build either. In these cars it’s not worth spending the extra $2k imo.

Oh you’re right alpine! The bass is pretty good. Bose just pops to mind

So you didn’t upgrade the sound system, with the $2k option?

No. I picked zero options. Just paint lol

And of course, the forced gas guzzler tax

Got it . Yeah, I think the ā€œbaseā€ alpine system sounds very good. The HK system is simply a money grab. Sure, it likely does sound a bit better but many of those options also used to come standard on the Hellcats. It’s just not worth the $2k. Hell, the sunroof is quite the ripoff too, but I always have to opt for that. :man_facepalming:

At least we’re not paying $25k or $30k just for a paint option, which is becoming quite common with the higher end cars. I’ll stick with my indigo blue pricing.lol

I realized I never posted some pics that my friend took of the Hellcat, along with his 911, a few months ago

@zaimer teaser pics while you wait
