Charger daytona EV incentives

Nope, don’t have any CDJR. It’s confusing on how their rebates work:(

On rate finder it’s listed as taxable for BEV dealer cash.
My understanding of this is dealer cash are not taxable,
But rate finder states otherwise.

Here’s what someone said awhile back.

It’s listed as a “special program”. Dealer facing incentives are usually treated same as a cash discount and are not normally taxable. Some dealers lump it into the rebate total though.

Shouldn’t be taxable since they’re dealer incentives rather than a direct consumer rebate.

That’s what I said but the sales manager insisted that they populated as a rebate

Wild…makes no sense.

They gotta eat somehow, wasn’t there some discussion about some brokers charging dealer cash as rebates and skimming the taxable amount?

Honestly, they probably just don’t know. Virtually every dealer in New Jersey insists that sales tax is 6.625%, despite the fact that EVs in New Jersey are currently taxed at 3.3125%.

Think about how much has been skimmed charging full sales tax on EVs in NJ from people who just don’t know any better.

If that’s the case on BEV, it brings me closer to my $100, sign on drive:) but how to do convince the dealer?

Without looking at the calculator I’m wondering if the deal would fund at that price on a Scat Pack, I’d have to see it.

There’s a reasonable amount of chatter on this thread and a couple of others related to this car… Has ANYONE managed to get one? Welcome to CDJR dealership hell :joy:

Just called FCA again, have them check under my name, only show 41CSJ, not 41CSM.

Where does the extra $1k come from?

That’s because it’s an “In Market Owner” program. If you don’t own one of their products you won’t be eligible.

I worked up a quote from my local dealer and they had 0 interest in even applying all of the available rebates/lease cash, let alone coupons and discounts. The guy told me I would be better off leasing a CAROLLA

Screwed them, there are plenty of dealerships out there that would:) the month is ending, surprise they won’t play ball.

I just had a guy work something up at a discounted price before rebates, claiming I was getting the full 21,500 plus the 5000 in BEV Coupons, buy rate MF, etc, etc and he was quoting me 200/mo higher than it should come out to. I’ve had a few who would talk seriously but just wouldn’t get down to the discount amount I’d need to take it.

If they hit their sales targets already they might not need to. These cars also haven’t sat long enough for dealers to really feel any pain holding them yet. Majority of them haven’t been on the lot for 60 days so it might make sense to wait for a greater fool.

With you 41CSM coupon, which is $2k, isn’t it suppose to be $26.5k?

$21,500 in customer rebates and $5,000 in dealer cash. I treat them separately.
