yes, it does.
But, does one receive it upfront when leasing?
no tesla doesnt pass on the tax benifits to lease customer.
That sucks. How is the NJ Charge Up 4k applied to a Tesla? I know it’s POS, but as an incentive against the total cost of the vehicle?
yes thats true
There is a separate thread for Tesla buying and incentives etc. This thread should be left alone and only discuss charge up relaated
The Fiscal year 2024 NJ charge up program just opened today. Let the Tesla buying frenzy recommence.
Hello, is the qualification decided on the price of the car before any rebates? If the net cost was less than the threshold post rebates/discounts, does that count? And also, from the T&C it seems that the lease has to be 36 mos? TIA.
Is this still only available on purchases via NJ dealer?
Purchases or leases. Must be through a NJ dealer by an NJ resident.
I wish it was on the net cost (which I proposed to the state for Phase 2), but “by law” it’s restricted to an MSRP cap before incentive, nothing including destination though.
Also, correct, lease contracts must be a minimum of 36 months.
If Hyundai was smart they would lower the MSRP on their Ioniq 5 SEs by $500 to get the full $4k rebate.
I just signed on a Ioniq 5 SE standard range for $277 everything rolled in. But there isn’t any around in NJ anymore, at least until the 2024s start arriving.
Discount? Rebates?
MSRP. Was promised a $1,500 discount last week but dealer didn’t honor it after they saw the incentives piling up (tbh, don’t blame them since they were the only ones who had this car in the whole NE, but still disappointing).
$7,500 lease cash (Hyundai passing on tax credit), $2,500 Hyundai Loyalty Credit for existing owners, $4,000 NJ EV rebate, and $1,500 trade in for my 2020 Ioniq EV, which I assume the value will soon tank due to the EV rebate for new EVs. It already went down around $1,500 from a month ago.
No markups on MF, etc.
Nice one. How are you getting 4k NJCU when I5 SE is above 45k?
I think he got a standard range (~42k) which qualifies, the SE does not by $500.
Exactly. The SE RWD misses it by $500. The AWD is another few thousand. There seems to be much more AWD than RWD.
Did you get the Lucid Blue Std Range SE from Lester Glenn? Was looking at that unit for my neighbor, good deal. Too bad the MSRP for Regular SE is only 500 over the MSRP limit. SE Standard Range is basically impossible to find in NJ. 1500 and 4000 is a huge difference. Nice find, nice deal
Your probably going to be one of the few who get full 4000 applied towards your HI5.
Yup that is right! That was me.
I am hoping that the 2024s come out soon and they make more Std range models so more people can benefit from it.
