Changing the headlight to LED

Are we allowed to change the headlights bulb to LED in a lease car? I have a 2019 Honda pilot.thanks!

Might be frowned upon. If not, just save the original bulb and screw them back in.

Anything you add to a leased car has to come off at return.

Thank u sir. Just had a lease suv for 3years.

Yeah real easy fix. I even saved some interior bulbs I switched out for LEDs just in case they want originals back.

Also amazing Pilot only comes standard with LEDs on top two trims when all Accord trim levels have them standard.

Is the pilot ex-l a halogen headlight bulb or hid? They’re hids in my passport ex-l. I wouldn’t changed hid out for led.

The high beam bulb im mentioning about sir. But the low beam prjectors looks good

Is this for your 950 per month pilot? I wouldn’t suggest messing with this dealer.

Sorry but couldn’t help it… on the other hand do what others suggested change them then replace them back before returning lease

Yea sir. Actually its $920month. And yes this is the worst deals my wife and i had.

I’ve done this on several leased cars. No one is going to notice when you return it. I would change the bulbs. Worst case save the originals and but them back before the return.

Don’t be that guy who buys those cheap HID/LED lights and puts them in a halogen housing and blinds upcoming traffic. I did it before and they look sucky. Won’t ever lease/buy another car again without LED headlights as standard.

Good thing is now most new cars have them standard. I know the Pilot doesn’t but I’m sure Honda is going to add them soon.

If you’re worried about them inspecting on return, honestly no one is going to give a shizzy… believe me the lease inspector isn’t even going to turn on the lights or even know a different bulb was added so feel free to change them. They’re so cheap I wouldn’t even bother changing them back to stock when I turned it in…(have done it dozens of times on previous leased cars)

oh no sir im not that guy. i dont use high beam because i know i might be hurting someones eye.hehe thanku for your reply!

Hey wait, you’re the guy paying $2k a month for a Honda Pilot?

They could’ve atleast given you purple hid bulbs for that money…

I planned on programming a key to my leased accord (remote start hack).

would I have to unprogram the key before return? or just give them the extra key (3rd key, for which I paid on my own after car lease and paid programming costs)

My guess would be just return the keys they gave you and they wouldn’t even know you got a third key reprogramed for the remote state hack. But just a guess since 1. I own my accord and 2. I got a model with remote start standard.

yeah. it would be financially cheaper for me to just give them a FREE (3rd key with remote start hack) then to pay unprogramming costs but get to keep the key. oh well can decide 34 months later.
