Does anyone know if a 3rd party buyout on a Chrysler Capital lease payoff should exclude sales tax when outside the 60 day lease end date window? Sales tax is included in my personal payoff letter but the Chrysler dealer is saying I’d have to pay sales tax even if they buy it out direct. Also looking at Carmax and Vroom for buyouts.
dealer wont have to pay tax so their payoff is your payoff minus tax
