There were many companies in the past year you could look at and wonder why anybody would buy that stock at any price?
Roblox is one. Never profitable. Millions of players. While every other game company was printing cash/profits out the wazoo they still could not be profitable.
A large group of institutional creditors pacted together to negotiate as a single entity against Carvana, 70% of outstanding debt for the next quarter @ minimum.
Apologies. I was more thinking %ages
If we are talking 2% delta - no worth the risk IMHO
If we are talking 20%… well… there is a conversation to be had.
Even with a cashier’s check I would be cashing it ASAP. Not impossible to stop payment on it.
Semi-related, every time I read an article on Caravana failing I think of if I had just bought some long puts on Caravana when @Jrouleau426 started bashing them, I could be retired on a beach in French Polynesia right now.
To be fair I started shorting at $200 and it went to $350 from there. I was down a solid 70% at one point on my position. I shorted one last time at $350 and covered just under $100.
That short likely took a few years off my life with stress. It erased most of my oil gains at one point.
