What does this represent, the current car these drivers own or the car they were actually driving ( not necessarily owned) when they got the DUI
It’s the former if you look at methodology on insurify website. So not necessarily the car they got the DUI in.
This list is interesting but not surprising. 6 of the 10 listed vehicles are pickups, which are more popular in rural/suburban areas. You would expect there to be much more drunk driving in places with less dense populations and less public transit. The numbers bear this out. Top DUI death per capita states are Dakota’s, Wyoming and Montana while Massachusetts, Delaware, NJ and Illinois have the fewest deaths per capita.
