Can you lease in transit cars and wait for them to arrive? Or do you have to wait for them to arrive and then you’ll use the rebates and numbers for when they show up ?
Question is, why would you? Sign the lease now, you’re screwed if the car comes off the truck with damage, unless the dealer is above the board, and willing to take the risk to fix it once it gets here. Your payments will also be due whether you’re driving it or not. Much better off putting a cash deposit on it, and finalizing it when it arrives, which gives you an out clause should there be an issue and you don’t want to take delivery.
Why a car on the transit? Usually the best deals come from aging units on the lot.
sometimes, to some, the car is more important than the discount.
Not sure what car it is, but a quick search on AutoTrader can probably help find a car that is similar to exact.
There are ways you can lock in the incentives; depends on the make, lessor and state (terms) you’re in.
Well for this reason…
Can get a good deal on a Laramie Ram with the 12 inch screen… However Big Horns lease A LOT better than laramies, and they have Big Horns in transit with the 12 inch screen.
So although i can get a good deal on a laramie, i can substantially save on a similar equipped Big Horn due to better rebates and rates etc…
You don’t need to sign, just put a deposit on the one you want and sign when it arrives.
I believe they would use the rebates for the month they arrive correct?
x2 ask to place a $500 refundable deposit. I had a guy place a refundable deposit on a Hybrid CRV and he ended up waiting 2.5 months for it due to Covid-19.
Every case is different.
I had to get someone to do it on a transit Pilot EXL which was arriving before end of month. Had no choice due to shrunk inventory and insane programs so didn’t want to pass on to next month but they were able to put a deposit and the sign the actual lease once the vehicle arrived. The numbers were finalized by me based on what their lease agreement would look like upon delivery of the vehicle provided it was before end of month. Good move as now, Im sold out 7 days before month on that trim and nothing even in transit Wonder what happens in July.
Why not just put a deposit on the car vs a complete sign? I would think they’d be able to contact Honda + get a waiver to honor the previous month programs if the month rolled before it arrived. Signing on a car that hasn’t arrived yet is a big risk. I personally wouldn’t take it, but I’d drop a deposit on it. If it was damaged, I could at least walk away.
Yes, and programs too. But if you put deposit down the same month it arrives then you know what the deal is.
You think those are going to lease terribly or worse than terribly?
I’m guessing telluride levels of bad
Don’t you have a good Telluride deal?
Palisade*. Mllcb did a passport and a palisade deal iirc.
Hybrid crv was my dads purchase choice after rav4 hybrid, then he realized he couldn’t even find one of either.
Any Honda without a subvented rate will be ugly regardless of lease cash, loyalty programs, rebates, discounts, etc. If you’re a real man you’ll do it anyways!
Yup. Current lease stable is a palisade and a passport. Was a cx9 and an s90 before that.
I guess summer is the best time for you to buy a boat.
I’ll stick with my deeply discounted Volvo loaners .
That being said, maybe somebody will be able to find one that has been sitting on the lot after the hybrid hype is gone.
