I see here on this particular post (linked below) that despite the car being on stop sale for a recall the deal can still be done. Does this apply to any/all vehicles? For example, if lease support for a vehicle expires in a month but the car is on stop sale, can you still lock in the lease and receive the car afterwards or is it only possible to make something like this happen as a broker?

Bump; wasn’t able to get a reply to this question or find one online
I have leased a car in the past with and open recall in Maryland. The dealer was not able to release the vehicle until the inspection was completed.

So it’s definitely possible. Thanks! Did the lease period begin once you received the car or did the months start counting down at signing?
I signed on Saturday and picked it up on Tuesday after the recall was addressed (no remediations were required). Since that time was so short between the dates I’m not sure.
