Can I score a deal on a purchase here versus a lease?

I leased two cars through leasehackr, and recommend it to friends often.
My friend is ready to purchase a Mazda CX-50 or CX-5. I know the brokers here have deals with dealerships which they then advertise to clients. I also understand that a lease and a sale are both sales as far as the dealership is concerned. Can I use a broker here… sorry… is it advantageous to the brokers and dealers to sell cars at these handshake rates versus leasing them?

I’d like to help my friend get a great deal on the purchase.

Alternatively, can you think of a situation where it pays to lease and then turn around and pay the whole thing off in a month?

Makes not difference in regards to the dealer discount, rebates could be different on a purchase.

This is not 100% accurate. Lease cash is often untaxed and subtracted from the selling price. Make sure you tell the broker that it is a purchase deal.

Isn’t the whole point of a broker to provide turnkey service? If your friend wants to buy they can facilitate that.

Usually with EV or PHEV with larger lease rebates than purchase rebates.

Thanks guys.

So I should go to the Northeast forums and follow up with Mazda brokers and tell them it’s a purchase. Correct?

Sounds like a plan

For volvo, yes. Many other brands no.
