So I’ve been doing my research on a new Mazda CX-5 or Mazda 3 and so far I’ve only been getting very generic quotes for dealerships around me. Can I ask for a more detailed quote over the phone that shows the MF, residual, etc…? I don’t have the time unfortunately to travel to all the dealers in the area because some are far away.
DO NOT TRAVEL TO ANY DEALERS. Best to get all the info via email but phone is fine too.

Email and sometimes text works as well as they can take picture of their lease deal sheet.
Email is great because you have everything in (their own) writing to refer to if and when it comes time to venture to the dealer to sign. If you want to talk over the phone that’s fine too, but try to have them email you a breakdown as well. If there’s any hesitation in doing that, then you might have to be prepared for someone to deny saying what they said to you, or claim some kind of misunderstanding, true or otherwise.
What should I ask for. Whenever I ask for a quote I only get that vague generic breakdown. Do I have to ask for all the breakdown specifically?

Money factor
Taxes, tags, fees
Estimated monthly payment
I ask for a quote but then reply back with my own quote that I want. Best you research all the numbers first and just email the dealer if they can do the deal.
Ah. That’s a smart idea. I was wondering how to go about it. Do you gather MF and Residual from Edmunds forums?
Yes and they also have incentives. Look at this site to find out what a good dealer discount is.
I hate to be a bother but could you point me in the direction of where to locate that?
just google “edmunds 2019 make model lease” and it will show up. It is a message board where people ask for MF/RV for their area.
